Not everyone needs a travel advisor

I'm a travel advisor, and I'm about to tell you something you might not expect to hear from me, friend.

Not everyone needs a travel advisor

Some people genuinely enjoy spending hours researching destinations, comparing hotels, and piecing together every little detail of their vacations. They're comfortable coordinating the logistics, handling unexpected hiccups, and making all the decisions that come with planning a trip.

And if that's you? More power to you!

But then there are the travelers who think they don't need a travel advisor, when in reality, they might be the very people who'd benefit most from having one.

Of course, I'll let you be the judge of that. I've put together a little list of people who probably don't need my help.

Let's see if you make the cut!

1️⃣ You have endless amounts of free time: If your idea of a relaxing Tuesday evening involves opening 37 browser tabs, comparing hotel reviews, and trying to figure out whether the "ocean-view suite" actually has an ocean view, you're all set!

But if you'd rather spend your evenings doing just about anything else, having someone narrow down the options might sound pretty appealing.

2️⃣ You know exactly what you're booking: You already know which destinations make sense for the time of year you're traveling, which hotels are worth the splurge, and whether that ambitious itinerary is actually doable. You can spot the difference between two seemingly identical resorts and know which one is the better fit for you.

And if you don't? Well, that's the kind of research and expertise I bring to the table!

3️⃣ You don't mind being your own customer service department: Flight canceled? Hotel reservation gone missing? Unexpected change of plans?

No problem! You're comfortable being the one to make phone calls, wait on hold, and figure out your next move.

Of course, a travel advisor can't prevent every travel hiccup or magically make a canceled flight reappear. But having someone familiar with your trip who can help you navigate the unexpected? That can make a frustrating situation a whole lot easier.

4️⃣ You're happy to book whatever looks good online: You don't need someone asking about your travel preferences, recommending experiences you hadn't considered, or helping you decide where to spend a little extra and where to save. You found a hotel with decent reviews, the pictures look nice, and the price seems reasonable. Book it!

One detail to note: There's a big difference between booking a vacation and planning one around the way you actually want to travel. And that's where working with a travel advisor can make all the difference.

So, do you need a travel advisor?

Maybe not!

If you enjoy doing all the research and handling every detail yourself, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. But if you'd rather have someone help you sort through the options, make informed decisions, and put together a vacation that feels like you, well...

That's exactly what I'm here for

You don't have to be incapable of planning your own vacation to appreciate having a professional do it with you (or for you!).

If that sounds like your kind of arrangement, I'd love to hear what you've got in mind!

If you made it this far, consider this your sign to just send me an email and see what we can do together!
